Hey there - how ya doin'?

Let's fire this puppy up. MotoBill here from http://www.motobill.com/, http://www.cwira.com/, http://www.marathonoffroad.com/, http://www.midwestquadracing.com/ and yes, webmaster of http://www.mvpwausau.com/. My real job is a bit more interesting - I work with the Parts Department of Mountain View Powersports and before that Wausau Motorsports. I sell OEM parts to our commercial/wholesale customers and find the parts our Service Department techs need for their jobs. I'm also the "finder of the un-findable" and the head cheerleader of how fun it is to work with all these powersports toys.

And we race in our family. "Gen II" started racing his PW50 in D-16 MX this year. I've been racing MX in Wisconsin & Minnesota for about 15 years on several Yamaha bikes and quads - right now it's a YZ400 & Banshee. However the Banshee has taken over as the primary racer in the winter. I started ice oval racing with the Central Wisconsin Ice Racing Association on my YZ right about the time I started MX, but (lack of) skills being what they are I've started to concentrate all my winter effort on the quad side. The balance here is that now with more motor (no, none of my stuff is stock) I've given up trying to make the 20 year old frame design of the Yamaha Banshee work on an MX track - so now it's the YZ only for racing in the summer.
Like a lot or riders "pushing 50" I've got a real soft spot for the stuff I grew up riding. In the case of my street bike it's a 1983 Yamaha XS 650 Heritage Special. Gotta love those old "British style" parallel twins. I recently sold the last of my '70s Rupp snowmobiles - there's only so much room in the garage you know. The last two to go were a 440 liquid and 340 F/A. My boys are still true to the "old school" though - there's a pair of early '70s Kitty Kats in their corner - leopard seat covers and all.

But what I've really found to be the most fun is the promotion side of Powersports and Racing. I'm Pres of the Marathon Off-Road ATV/Motorcycle Club and pointskeeper for the CWIRA. Lots of work on both but this stuff really is one big family - the people you get to know through all the events really are solid gold.

You may have guessed by now that all this is a real neat way to make a living.
